“Phinnie, The Magic Dolphin” Statue

Not far from Main Street, you’ll find a dolphin statue facing west towards the Pearl River Estuary. It commemorates a story of friendship between a dolphin and a fisherman from Northern China, who was brought to Ma Wan by the dolphin to teach the residents of Ma Wan Island about fishing and boat-building skills. The statue is located in front of the Kap Shui Mun channel. The pier next to it is an ideal place to watch the sunset.
